customDesignTechnologies will be a new name making an appearance at the forthcoming
Nepcon 2002 exhibition (NEC, Birmingham, 1-3 October) but it won't be the first time that the company has exhibited at the
show.
customDesignTechnologies is the new name for Bafbox, well known for its custom
designed plastic enclosures. The company changed its name in July this year to more accurately reflect its aims for the 21st
century.
customDesignTechnologies Ltd will carry on providing the outstanding levels of
service for which Bafbox is renowned while the latter tradename will remain synonymous with the folded box technique that
the company developed and perfected over the last decade and a half.
The Bafbox brand has served the company well over the last 15 years but over the
last few years the company has found itself offering its customers so much more than just custom fabricated enclosures. For
example, it is fast becoming a major player in the membrane keypad area following the launch of customKeypads last year.
All that the company learnt through Bafbox, in terms of attention to detail and
customer service, is being harnessed in new areas and the recently launched customAssembly division, specialising
in custom electronic design and assembly, has now been bolstered with the purchase of Lexor, an established and well respected
electronics design and manufacturing company with an expertise in small batch runs and delay lines.
At the exhibition, customDesignTechnologies will exhibit Bafbox enclosures with
new carbon fibre, granite and mirrored silver effect finishes while customAssembly and customKeypads will show examples illustrating
the company's comprehensive capabilities in delivering cost-effective and flexible
solutions for companies seeking membrane keypads and those looking to out-source manufacturing.
